My screen name "PistolAnn" nickname given to me by my Dad when I was a little girl. Hmmm I thought for sure since my Dad played for Oklahoma A&M (Now Oklahoma State) football team and their mascot being ...no not a tiger (their first mascot) but "Pistol Pete" since 1923, that was it...named after our loving Pistol Pete. I asked but no was the reply...then I said well then it must be cause they were "Cowboys" bang...bang...cowboy/cowgirl gun toting Pistol ...but again no. So sorry to disappoint my nickname even though my Daddy played for Oklahoma A&M was given to me only because the "Pistol" that I was (and probably still am) was solely given because I was a awry little thing...at least that's what I was told :-) Still love our OSU Cowboys...our fantastic Pistol Pete...still and always will bleed orange ...GO POKES!!! Yes indeed I am a ultimate football fan!!!
